It's sad to see that people may not really play their Duo's anymore. For
my part, no matter what new systems I have or get into, my Duo or NES or
whatever are not so easily replaceable. For too many reasons, games like
Dragonslayer, Gate of Thunder, and Bomberman 94 are way too much fun to let go
of for too long.
Additionally, as my Japanese improves and/or as my collection of games
increases, I become more aware of the Duo I'd only read about. Up until
recently for example, I had never played Far East of Eden II. I had read
about what kind of game it was and how it sold over 2 1/2 million copies in
Japan and whatever but it wasn't until I played it that I realized what the
hype was about.
It's not to say that I don't love my Gamecube or am not at least mildly
entertained by my XBox and the P(iece of) S(h*t) 2 which have some good games
but man I still love popping a CD into my Duo with the lights out and hearing
"Y's- the ideal utopia..." Man, I still get the chills. STILL.
I'm the same with my DC. Recently, I met up with some old friends on
PSO and when I got the message that said "Welcome to the world of PSO", I
flashed back two years to when I first saw that message.
Anyway, the Duo has way too many good games in its library for me to have
exhausted my fun with it. And even though TTI folded 9 years and 16 days ago,
the machine and games still gets fired up over here.
