hey List,
greeting from a very-warm-and-sunny-during-the-day japan. things
here are going well. i just picked up a bunch of stuff today in
akihabara two of which are turbo/pc engine related. the first one i need no help identifying but i am now the proud
owner of- LEgend of Xanadu II. i:ve played only about three hours of
part one before (never finished it because tengai makyou took over my
life for a time). do i need to complete the first one to enjoy this
one better. i can:t read too much japanese so i am curious if it
matters. any opinions on this game? my other big purchase was a demo cd which has dragonslayer and
tengai makyou ii manjimaru on it! i have never seen this before.
there was no spine card but i got it in near mint condition (except for
the front case which is easily replaceable) for about forty five cents!
 anyone know anything about this?
as always, i want to pass out an open invite to any listers who
make their way to tokyo. let me know when you are here and we:ll hook
up. a few years back i met up with takumi suidu in osaka and joan
touzet in tokyo and we had a great time. last month, i met up a few
times with takumi again (this time in tokyo) and with kai who is also
living in tokyo. it was a blast going shopping, browsing, and talking
about our fave system.
finally, on a pricing note, i noticed that dead of the brain has
gone up quite a bit in price since this summer. i saw it in a store
today for almost $80. also, duo R and RX have also gone up. i saw
them in several places for about $200 out of box. that:s it for now, cheers, george
