Re: TG-16 Compositve video Mod

Just a question in regards to tapping into video from the TG-16 port on
the back (non Duo):

Am I supposed to connect VZ to ground using a .1uF capacitor? That is
the way it sounds here:

                        <QUOTE>
"VZ -- External composite video, connected to R145. Note -- this may
need
      to be externally bypassed to ground with a capacitor to use
directly
      as a video feed. Also used as a vertical sync signal for RGB
      connections."

                     AND

                    <QUOTE>
"Z and GG -- ...For a clearer picture, connect a 0.1 uF capacitor
between the
              two terminals on the side of the cable that connects to
the
              PCE/Turbo."

Just curious if anyone tried that. I tried putting a .1uF capacitor to
ground on a NES 2 AV mod that I did, and it made the picture HORRIBLE. I
guess the duo works differently? What exactly does bypassing to ground
do, keep the video signal more constand and clarifies image?
