Well...
Since this list has been *extremely* quiet - I figure I'd brag a bit.
My copy of Meteor Blaster DX showed up in the mail yesterday...where I
promptly forgot to bring the rest of the mail back to the house.
After pluggin' it in - I'll admit I am impressed.
First thing I noticed is the high-quality of the disc and box-art. It
really is impressive - very well done.
Then I actually started to play. The intro cinema was more than I was
expecting!! The super-large-eyed anime art was a welcome change from what
we typically play these days, and the dialog was well written.
I also enjoyed the little details - like the donut being eaten during the
opening cinema...
The game itself then started....and the first thing I noticed was the music.
It rocks!! I suck at the game overall thusfar, so I'm hoping/wondering if
there's different music every X levels...but that's for me to discover.
I like the different ships and the control seems precise.
I didn't get a LOT of time to play - home ownership is a lot of work - but I
did enjoy it and plan to try to steal some more time to play. I also loved
the timed version of Implode. The LOOP game was cool - but the screen gets
to be an eyesore after awhile. Some more production time on that one would
make for an excellent puzzle game - it is HARD!!
So - that's my current comments. I want to thank BT and the team who worked
with him from graphics to MUSIC to testing to get this done - it's well
worth my $30 and I enjoy seeing the Turbo still going!!
That's it everyone - hopefully someone else will talk now!
