hey list,
greetings from the nippon. if you didn:t hear, yamagiwa in
akihabara was on fire the other day. the place still smells like burnt
plastic. no one was hurt but the fire was dangerouslyclose to where so
good priced pc engine games are. anyway, i did a fairbit of shopping
today and a i have a few qeustions:
i saw might & magic (part one, i assume) has two different
versions. one is in a single cd case and the cover looks like a brown
leather bound book of sorts while the other is a double cd case with
some average hand drawn artwork of a guy and girl and, i think a
dragon. what:s the diference?
also saw games called Cobra and Cobra II (i picked up the latter for
about $3). any opinions on these? i noticed the first was more
expensive.
also pcked up LANGRISSER. i never knew this was released for the
PCE. the price was really low ($4) and it seemed like it couldn:t be
sooo bad. at similar prices, i also got wizardy III & IV as well as
wizardry V. didn:t get the first one. any opinions on it?
finally, just wanted to throw some current prices your way on used
pc engine goodies in case you are curious:
dead of the brain parts 1&2 is going for about $105
dracula X - $70 (though i did see it today at liberty in akihabara for
about $20 less macross 2036- $35
record of lodoss war I- $10
record of lodoss war II- $16
duo rx in box- $220
duo r in box- $200
duo in box-- $180
arcade card duo- $38 (almost double form this summer)

though i won:t many any promises to go digging around, if anyone
is looking for anything, i can probably help out. i go to akihabara
almost every thursday. take care, george
