Hello folks.. "Wanted" list, questions & a little about me...

Hey folks..
I'm new to this list, and just getting back into Turbo gaming again
after a few years.
I originally got a TG16 back in 1991 when I was a kid and loved and
played it for quite a few years. My game collection grew a little bit
over the years, but it was never huge. The games I *did* have, I
loved. In 1995 or so my original TG16 died of unknown causes, so I
bought a TG16-CD (not a Duo). Around that same time I got a
TurboExpress. Until about two years ago, the TurboGrafx and
TurboExpress were the only game consoles I had ever owned.
Stupidly, sometime around 2001 after I had kind of lost interest and
needed money to help move out, I sold the entire system along with all
the games and the TurboExpress to a guy who runs a game shop locally
and was interested in the whole PC-Engine genre.
For the past few years, I have never stopped kicking myself. I
actually got decent money for the whole lot thanks to the fact he was
a PCE fan, but I am now finding out that some of the games I had
bought new in the '90s are actually pretty friggin' rare. I remember
I bought Bonk 3 brand new for around $20. It's going on eBay now for
**$135**!! Man, if only I had known.. I probably would've held on to
most of it.
About two years ago I started collection video games and consoles--
mostly Nintendo stuff. I've got the original NES, Super NES, N64 and
GameCube now. Most of the older NES stuff is really really cheap now,
but after getting into some of that, I realized there was a charm that
was missing from my gameplay that I missed from the TurboGrafx days.
So a few months ago I decided to "rebuild" my collection. The first
step was getting a working Duo or Grafx system that could play ALL the
games (Japanese, American, CD, and SuperCD). That ruled out the
Japanese variants as they are unable to deal with the US carts.. So I
decided on, once again, a TG16-CD unit as the Duo prices these days
are absolutely RIDICULOUS. I figured I'd need a Kisado adapter (cost
me more than the console) and a System 3.0 or Arcade Card Pro to get
total gameplay functionality.
So here's my setup as of right now:
TG16-CD unit
TurboTap w/ extension cord (a must)
System 2.0 card
Two good TurboPads, and a brand-new TurboStick from TZD
One bad TurboPad (acts like there is a short somewhere)
One Kisado adapter
Games:
Afterburner II
Bubble Bobble III: Parasol Stars
China Warrior
Dungeon Explorer
Keith Courage x2 (of course)
TV Sports Hockey
Space Harrier
Wonderboy II/Wonderboy in Monster Land
Here's a list of games that I need to "rebuild" my collection, plus a
few that I never owned but I'd like to:
Arcade Card Pro *OR* System 3.0 card
Air Zonk (US version)
Alien Crush
Blazing Lazers (US version)
Bomberman '94
Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure (CD preferred) (US version)
Bubble Bobble II: Rainbow Islands
Coryoon
Devil's Crush
Deep Blue
Dungeon Explorer II (US version)
Eternal City
Fantasy Zone (US version)
Final Soldier
Galaga '90 (US version)
Gate of Thunder CD (for Bonk 1, 2 & Bomberman) (US version)
Gradius or Gradius II
Liquid Kids
Lords of Thunder
New Adventure Island
Ordyne (US version)
Outrun
Parodius
R-Type (US CD *or* cart)
Samarui Ghost (US version)
Sinistron
Soldier Blade (US version)
Super Air Zonk (US version)
Super Star Soldier (US version)
Wonderboy III/Monster's Lair (US version)
Wonderboy: Dragon's Trap/Dragon's Curse/whatever (US version)
Wonderboy V/Dynastic Hero (US version)
Wow, that list looks a lot longer that I thought it would. :) So if
anyone has any of these games they'd maybe like to sell, please let me
know. I would be happy to trade, but I don't really have anything at
this point to offer. The only games I'd be willing to let go of are
China Warrior, TV Sports Hockey, and Keith Courage (these three just
came with the TG16 I got) but they are common enough I can't really
imagine anyone wanting them for anything on my list. I have a much
larger selection of NES and SNES games, however, if there is something
of that nature someone might be interested in...
Right now I think the most important thing for me to do is get an
Arcade Card Pro or System 3.0 card, but I'll take anything on that
list. I prefer the games to be complete in their original jewel case
with the manual, but I might make exceptions for some of the titles.
Finally, I still have that original (dead) TG16 unit I got for
Christmas in 1991. I never figured out what was wrong with it, it
just died one day, but I always thought I'd be able to fix it. I have
always known about RetroGames, and when I started this venture a few
months ago, I decided maybe I'd give them a try and see if they could
fix it for me. Unfortunately, my e-mail to them bounced back with an
"invalid address" error. Did they finally go under? Anybody know?
Their website is still up.
Thanks for reading, let me know if you can help me find a few of these
old titles. :)
Thanks,
Nat
