Hi,
@>On another note, I wanted to let everyone know that I am
@>working on a new PC-Engine/TG16 game. I plan to get
@>a homepage up with more information on it. When I do,
@>I will point you all to it.
With HuC, this is now much easier than ever before.
See:
http://utopia.consolemul.com/
I think that several new projects will appear shortly. ;)
@>Finally, I would like to encourage some conversation on this
@>list. My question to all of you is this. What types of developments
@>would you like to see being made in the future? I personally
@>would like to see some work done in the audio department.
@>Some tools would definetly be usefull. Anyone up to writing a
@>.mod player? Is this possible/feasible?
I agree, we need more/better audio tools.
The MML from Develo is only barely understood, and at the current time we
don't have any players to test compositions' sounds on. It would be kind
of neat to write a quick stub that attaches a PSG player routine onto the
bytecodes generated from an MML compiler. Then the sound of a composition
could be quickly verified within an emulator (as close as possible to real !).
As for games, I think once several demos come out, it will be very easy to
create some simple games, and very possible to create professional-looking
games. I'm really looking forward to this day (which will be soon !).
