Here are the specs, I am having a small run of 300 copies, the CD
content will have a few slight differences, but nothing major.
Packaging will be slightly different as well (there will be a UPC on
the back, and the inner tray will be clear, not white ($150 additional
charge for white trays).
There is simply not enough room on the CD for full versions of Implode
and MBdx. This is primarily due to the audio tracks. The Caravan
version of Implode is on MBdx, and will remain there.
I will (most likely) be offering a MindRec Combo of MB + the original
Implode CDs, but final pricing has not been decided yet (current
thought right now is $20 for MB, $30 for the Combo).
Short history on PCE CDs.
99% of all CD replication centers use a software package called
Eclipse to master CDs for replication. between the time Implode was
made, and MB was ready to be made, Eclipse had altered their software
so that the PCE format was no longer accepted as viable. The software
altered the layout to force it to yellowbook (If I recall), and that
worked on MagicEngine, but not on PCE Hardware. After months of
trying, the CD-R solution was deemed as the best.
Timeline ... I am finishing up the digital assets (packaging and
revised ISO) and hope to have that done by the end of the month. 3-4
days to ship mastered material to Texas, then 20-25 days production
and shipping back to me, so May 1 is looking like the approximate
target date.
