Japanese consoles on US power

So I've got a question for the experienced import gamer.

I've been playing my SuperGrafx with it's original Japanese AC adapter
over here in the USA for some time with no problems. Of course, it's
always unplugged when I'm not using it. Is this ever going to cause any
problems with the adapter or the system?

The real reason for my question is that I recently acquired a PC-FX.
The PC-FX uses the same Japanese power, but the "AC adapter" is inside
the console. Am I OK to go ahead and use it as-is? I don't want to risk
frying the power circuitry since it wouldn't be as simple as getting a
new adapter. I'd probably have to get a new PC-FX if anything bad were
to happen. Do I need to shell out the cash for a step-down converter or
is Japanese power close enough I shouldn't have problems as long as I
keep it unplugged when not in use?

The general consensus it seems is that there will be no problems but I
thought I'd throw this out there to be sure.

Thanks,
   Nat

Has anyone else noticed that Bonk looks suspicously similar to Dopey
from the Walt Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? Perhaps
this is one of those "Separated at birth" things.
