White NEC hardware

Hey all,
   i saw some screens recently of what someone was able to do to an old 
Duo R.  mine is in pretty good shape but i would like to get it and my 
FX as close to the original white as possible.  any suggestions?  
someone on the pcefx boards had an idea but it involved taking the unit 
apart and soaking in some solution. 
the news out of NEC gets worse and worse but the hardware soldiers on!
