Gotzendiener is a neat game. .I think the closest thing to it
is Beyond Shadowgate. Gotzendiener is more action oriented,
but it does have a fair number of puzzles. Graphically it is
very nice looking, the controls can be a bit sluggish, and
there are some weird things that are never really explained
(like why, as the game goes on, does the main characters hair
get shorter?)
One big (and I mean BIG) problem is that Gotzendiener crashes.
A lot. As an example -- on the screens with the rocks and conveyor
belts, if you throw a boulder off screen, your game is locked up
(actually I suspect that the game goes into an infinite loop
a the rock looks for an off-screen place to land, and keeps falling
until the variable value wraps, and the process is repeated)
The game is unique on the Duo, so it is worth playing, despites the
bad things, but I think that anything over say $40 is a bit much
(my opinion).
