I do not think that ME has changed, instead there are plenty of tools out 
there that permit you to "mount" an ISO image on your PC and have it act as
a real CD.  ME does not know the difference.  Daemon-Tools was oen of the 
first that allowed this, I think even Nero has a way to do this now a days
too, though between you and me, the whole Nero package has turned into a 
HUGE piecve of bloatware, yeah, it does the job, btu it also does 101
things you probably do not care about.  Anyway ...

No idea about that, GoldenHawk was the original preferred method, I believe
Alcohol can also do it.  In the free department, look at Folder2ISO and LC 
ISO Creator.  I have not used either
