Sorry for the late reply, I've been on vacation and only just getting
around to checking up on the email accounts.....
The list is obscenely quiet the last few years... but if it's pulling no
resources to keep alive, and isn't a security risk, I'm all for keeping it
around. As has already been mentioned, interested parties come and go - to
me that means that interested websites come and go as well. The List is a
way to ensure that any/all of us old-timers in the Turbo scene can still
have a way to easily contact one another. Lord knows that the "usual
places" like Nintendo Age, Atari Age, Assembler Games, etc have virtually
no interest or activity in Turbo-related gaming or hardware. About the only
viable alternative that we have is PCEngineFX, and while I don't think
Aaron is going anywhere, who's to say that might not change in a few more
years?
So far as MB... I didn't purchase it initially due to lack of funds (I
wanted the version with the customized intro screen). Once that offer went
away, I just didn't go back to it. Probably should have.
And for the record, I'm still looking forward to Xymati when it arrives :)
