as a console, it had a lot going for it. it looked good and had a
wireless controller which docked ever so nicely in the console iteself
much like a colecovision controller did. i've read on wikipedia that
it was 16bits but it sometimes acted like a little more. lots of FMV
and crisp animation and great licenses at its disposal...dragonball,
gundam, sailor moon were all bandai and big in those days. anyway,
technically, it was an able unit though, from the software i have
played, never reached or needed to reach its potential. it was mostly
geared toward younger gamers.
on the downside, there were very few 'games'. the DBZ games were VERY
cool imo and there were some cool gundam titles. i also really liked
blue reality which was like a fun Magical Dinosaur Tour. near the end
, there were some trashy adult games meant to sell units.
it's worth getting one with five or six of the good games and put it
next to your supergrafx.
