I'd just reflow the solder...should fix it easily enough.
I do this all the time with original Xboxen that have the AC jack sparking
from similar circusstances....
Get a HOT iron (I use the desoldering iron from Radio Shit...), heat solder
till it reflows, done.

Subject: Suggestions on a Duo repair

Hi all... geeze it's been almost two years since I last posted. Doh.

Anyways, my trusty U.S. Duo system is having a problem. The A/V cable
port appears to be suffering a broken connection to the PCB from the
wear of plugging the cable in and out over the years. What's the best
way to fix this. Unsolder the plug mount and remount it or just add some
thing like hotmelt glue to lock the mount down the board? It still makes
a connection most of the time, and when it fails, if you wiggle it a bit
you get signal again.

Thanks for any advice :)

Cheers!

Bryan
