World Sports Competition

OK all, dig back deep into your memories and see if you can help me out 
with this one.  i know that WSC was released as a hucard but wasn't 
there also a CD version of the game planned?  i seem to recall reading 
that back in the day and think how interesting it was that bonk III and 
WSC would have a CD and HuCard release each. anyone?
