Years ago, I was able to "portabalize" a Genesis using the Express TV
tuner and a Power Wheels car battery.
I hooked the video up by using a male 1/4" headphone jack to dual male
RCA connectors (this is a common cable for audio applications). I then
used two female-to-female RCA connectors to attach the Genesis RCA male
video and audio outputs to this cable.
As for the power, that was accomplished with a generic adapter tip and
some careful soldering (make sure you get your - and + right on the
battery!).
In the end, it wasn't really THAT portable, but it worked, and worked
well! Of course, I junked the whole crazy setup for a Nomad later on
..
