Hey List,
Over the last month or two, I've had a few questions building up
which I know only someone here could answer. I'll send them in
separate e-mail to keep the subjects separate as I've noticed that
multi-subject e-mails never get complete answers. Ok. I know that Wikipedia is not always the best source of information
(it is getting better , I suppose). Anyway, I read their article on the
Turbo Express and it stated that the unit's sales were approximately
1.5 million. Doesn't that seem a little high to anyone? I suppose if
the GT sales were included it IS possible but when you consider that
that is almost as much as what the Sega Saturn sold in North America
(or in Europe), it seems highly unlikely. Even if we do count the
Japanese GT sales, that number seems a little too high to me. The source for this figure is a Gamepro feature on the 10 worst
selling handhelds of all-time. While we are on the subject of sales, I would like to know what you
all have heard on Turbo sales figures. I remember hearing the TG-16
had sold around 1.8 to 2.2 million and the Duo less than 120,000 to
150,000. these are for North American consoles only. Anyone out there have other info?
