I believe based on the date you reported below that you have a CD-R
reviewers copy.
I saw a lot of these when were doing our magazine. Normally they gave
you a week or so to
play it, then overnight it back to TTI so they can send it to the next
publication. They would
generally have a few copies in circulation. Unfortunately some of the
mags (and zines) would
drag ass and/or refuse to send them back no matter what and if you
happened to be too far
down on the mailing list there was always the situation where you might
end up having to
simply go buy it if you wanted to get a review in. If you were at the
end of the line you would
sometimes be told to just destroy it for them (not worth the cost to
ship), and those are what
most of the copies I've seen floating around are.
Without doing a diff compare of the media, I'd say it's could be
anywhere from a 95%-98%
complete version. Usually if the final bugs that get fixed prior to
glass imprint are minor
enough the PR team would not get a final CD-R print for reviewing and
would have to wait
until production prints were send to them.
Added personal note... This is my favorite Madden hands down because of
the cinemas
which I would be willing to bet money feature the developers. =D
