Cosmic Fantasy

Finally tracked a copy of this one down well after I already had all the others in the series so I may be a little bias in my review. I thought that the cut scene graphics annoyed me the most. None of the characters mouths move! They just open them and the CD plays that specific characters lines and then they close them! OK? Other than this BIG flaw that detracts from the whole story element the rest of the game is just average. For some reason it reminded me a little of the original Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System with its VERY basic environment layout. The music for this CD game is mostly CART stuff [YES CART] that is not that catchy and you get occasional Skippy noises when it is loading back to the over world scene from a battle seen. Weird? I have not finished it yet so I will hold complete judgment back but I am beginning to see why this was not translated and brought to the US and they released part 2 instead. Buy only if you’re a Cosmic Fantasy FAN! (Or you score on for less than $10)
