If any PCE RPG deserves a 5.0 rating, then this one does. As an individual game, it's not quite as good as CF4 Chap. 1, but the two together make for one of the best RPG experiences ever on the PC Engine. The graphics are superb and the music is above average. (The fight theme does get annoying after a while, but which RPG fight theme doesn't?) Shape-shifting cats, shapely women and sharp humor always make for a fun gaming experience, IMHO.
