I was expecting a decent converstion. Maybe just a shade better than the SNES version. What I got, was an incredible conversion. This is near Arcade perfect. The sound is much better than the arcade infact. The controls are spot on, the graphics are great, the sprites are even larger than the SNES version. This is the best console port and one of many quality ports for Duo before its untimely demise.
Exactly as lord_cack has stated. The sound, especially the music, is indeed superior to the original. I don\'t know about the Neo Geo CD version, but in comparison, the Sega CD version\'s music is sadly inferior to that of the PCE version (CD quality sound alone won\'t suffice, you need good musicians as well!). As for the sprites, they are not just larger, they are MUCH larger. In fact, the largest sprite in the SNES version is hardly as big as the smallest sprite in the PCE version. Excellent conversion!
Good game but lack of parallax backgrounds. Almost like the arcade version and the game can be difficult at times.
I had written out a lengthy review, but the site cut it short without letting me know the character limits. At any rate, Ive made a page of my review on my site here:

If you want an objective look at the game beyond the bogus claims of OMG Perfect!, check it out.
The game seems to be the closest conversion to the Neo Geo game that I've played. Graphics, sounds, and gameplay are excellent (however, I do prefer the music in Garou Densetsu 2 over this game). Since I could not afford to purchase a Neo Geo at the time, it was a real joy when got this game when it came out.
