Now what can I say about this game??? All I know is I can take this disc and listen to the music all day long.... this game is way too hard for me(maybe I just suck)...... nice grafx, HARD!!! game but good....
Probally the single best USA released shooter on the system, beautiful, detailed , multi-scrolling Graphics, a incredible Heavy Metal Soundtrack only rivaled by Y's 1 & 2, as well as very tight control and fantastic well designed enemies and stages make this the shooter to own for the Turbo Duo, A+++++++++++
Excellent shooter! The characters, enemies, atmosphere, and of course the music, scream "BAD-ASS". And it is. This game has the hardest Metal soundtrack I've ever heard (in a game, that is), and that alone is worth the price of admission. Fortunately, the rest of the game is great, too. Highly reccomended!
Top notch shooter fans bliss!!!!Searing metal soundtrack(heaviest ever heard in a game),bitchin\' bosses, cool enemies/sprites,awesomely detailed graphics, easy to control, and a decent level of difficulty. My only complaint about it is that they didn\'t translate the japanese spoken dialogue for the american release during the cinema\'s,which i thought added to the feel of the game(even though it was japanese),but still the best shooter ever released for the American Duo system. If you love shooters, then what are you waiting for?!GET THIS GAME!!!!!
I think this is the tops as far as Turbo Shooters in the US goes. This game is incredible. Great Graphics with tons of enemies on screen. The Bosses are huge and detailed. Animation is awesome. The soundtrack is great. This game has it all. The armor selection is cool but has little or no effect on the game. I mean you take the Water armor on the fire level...it should be alittle easier....but it isn't...
The default difficulty is slightly too easy, but the game is great fun to clear anyway. Better soundtrack than Gate Of Thunder's.
I preffer vertical shooters, but this is one of the best side scrolling shooters I've ever played! A little more enjoyable than Gate of Thunder because the difficulty is just right (not next to impossible!)Great game overall! I wish more side scrolling shooters were this fun!
Arc System Works\\\' Guilty Gear series of 2D fighting games happens to be a descendant of this unique shmup on the music side. How is THAT so, you ask? Well, T\'s Music had filled to the brim Lords of Thunder for the TurboGrafx CD w/ Super System Card with rockers! Rockers that could make Satriani fans laugh insanely with joy (same way I laughed when I got PlayStation 1\\\\\\\'s Castlevania Chronicles as a late birthday present)! Not only can you choose four sets of armor with level 1 thru 3 powerups, but you can collect crystals (red\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s worth more than blue) to purchase shop items before you start the stage of your choosing (it\\\\\\\'s Mega Man-style). Go on; bask in the greatness, whether through eBay, Turbo Zone Direct, or CDRWIN. You can even save when you play it on Magic Engine.
On a side note, in the 1995 Sega CD version, Landis is renamed as Duran and Dyu (Landis\\\\\\\' ancestor) has been renamed as Drac/k (I\\\\\\\'m not sure to spell it with a C or K). Why that was so is beyond
Best horizontal shooter of the 90s. Extremely fast paced: a game that often doesnt give you time to blink. A fantastic soundtrack (only eclipsed by its predessor Gate of Thunder that oozes mood and suits the beautifully draw graphics perfectly. Real arcade feel to the game, with some of the best graphics on the system. This was the sort of the game the SNES just couldnt produce. The pinnacle of console shooters before the Sega saturn hit the scene. Still play this regularly nowadays and show it off to friends who have never seen a Turbo Duo (cant believe system was never realised in Europe!!!).
