Macross 2036

This game seems to be a Holy Grail of sorts for American Duo players, since it was supposed to be released in the U.S. but was shelved due to TT's decision to discontinue support for their U.S. machine. Let me say to those who feel they missed out on this game -- you didn't miss much. As you can probably guess, the cut scenes are plentiful and well-done, and the music and overall look are also decent. However, and this is a BIG however, the game itself is short, easy and unmemorable. FACT: Unless you employ discipline and only allow yourself 2 or 3 continues, you will beat this game the very first time you play it. And then, there on the shelf it will sit, gathering a healthy layer of dust...

This is a pretty good shooter, one that every Engine owner should get hold of. It is rather on the easy side, but is great fun to come back to ever so often. The graphics and sound are both great...and the bosses are pretty cool. It\'s a shame the cut scenes were never translated from Japanese, as they are plentiful, lengthy and all look lovely. If you can pick up this game for a good price go for it.
