Wow what a great game.... not only does it retain the points that made Military Madness great, but it does it with better grafx and a major sound uprade... also include's the first military madness...
It's just not possible to get a sense of how good this game is by merely looking at the images. I have yet to play a military strategy game that is more fun than Neo Nectaris. The way the game rewards you for strategically using terrain and surrounding enemies is nothing short of brilliant. The music is actually not quite as good as it first seems, as it is well orchestrated but somewhat repetitive. Still, the (one-player) levels are so well designed and the basic concept is so fun that you will not be able to put this one down.
Incredibly fun and addictive! If you have never played this game, you should definitely check it out--even if you generally don\'t like the simulation/strategy genre--you will love this game! A playstation version (titled Neo Nectaris: Military Madness) was released a few years ago, and although it was decent overall (inlcuding lots of bonus maps unavailable on PCE), the PCE version is ultimately the SUPERIOR of the two. Of course, if you are a fan of the series, it is worth tracking down the PS release as well. A DOS version (with even more levels?) is also supposed to exist, but I have yet to find it.
Better than Military Madness in every way (is that possible?)...and I guess since it contains the original 1989 gem on the disk, its moot anyway.
Buy it. Thats the long and the short of this!
Another of a small group of sequels for any platform that is worth every minute of play! I remember not being able to sleep for two and half days straight as I awaited this game in the mail when it was new.

I am very happy with the CDROM version. It will keep you occupied for quite some time. The AI is quite good, though you can see it glitch at times, especially when a human wouldn´t do a move just to let you slip out of a pocket with an already down unit ;)
