Brilliant conversion of the Irem Coin-Op... With added massive intro's cut scenes + mad japanese cd audio mixes of the classic r-type themes. Contains both R-Type and R-Type II (its levels follow the originals...) - only downside is its very hard :)

a colossus of a shooter. one of the best and most challenging I have ever played. well composed soundtrack that really sets the mood. for any true gamer, this title just cannot be ignored.

Great game. Once you learn the patterns, it becomes quite easy. The remixed music could have been better, as i was expecting something in the veins of pure hard rock music. The flicker is annoying too. Otherwise, it's a great shooter.
