Sidearms Special

Side Arms is one of my favourite games on the PCE, but I prefer the hu-card version over this one. While there's now a CD soundtrack, the game has loading breaks before the bosses as the music changes which creats annoying gaps in the action. The remixed/new game with the curious name of "Side Arms 'Before Christ'" is an odd duck which I don't find particulary enjoyable. The levels no longer change seamlessly, and you start each level with no weaponry no matter what you had collected in the previous one.

It probably would have been a better idea to have made a sequel to Side Arms. The game does have some new additions to it, redone-over music, new weapons and new bosses (which some are extremely harder to defeat). Overall, purchasing this game would be a waste of money, but that's just my opinion.

Must own for any shooter fan! The graphics, musics, and game-play of both games are top notch!
