It's hard to describe Snatcher as anything but a classic game. Although the Mega-CD version offered some improvements such as a much more interactive third act, the PC Engine incarnation was the one that really got people hooked on this game. Linear to a fault and completely worthless after one completion, the game still features a great story, puzzles, shooting action, humor, romance, Blade Runner-esque themes and a really annoying robot who somehow was lucky enough to have the best Konami game series ever named after it. Bottom line: it's just a whole lot of fun.
One of my first Hideo Kojima games. I cannot describe how wonderful this game is. If you don't have it, get it immediately. Every PC Engine owner owes it to themselves to experience the wonderful gameplay and storyline of Snatcher. I have a ritual where I play the game every December to relive the game's dark and mysterious Winter season. This is the kind of affect the game has had on me. A beautiful and memorable game highly inspired by one of the greatest films of our time, Blade Runner! Also I suggest everyone to play Policenauts for the PS or Saturn, another AWESOME Hideo Kojima game!
