One of my all-time favorite shooters. The game has excellent graphics and very cool special weapons. Also, the soundtrack is very good, with the theme from the first level being my favorite. The game is a bit easy, but all of the other great aspects of the game really make up for this.
This is an excellent game. It should be called Blazing Lazers 2, because it looks if not almost sounds the same. I didn\'t find this game easy, hell it\'s harder for me than Blazing Lazers (BL). Maybe that\'s because the weapon system is different, you don\'t get any bombs to bail you out of certain situations! It can be difficult to recover from full-powerup once you\'re killed. If you\'re a fan of BL, you owe it to yourself to pick this game up. I bet they would\'ve sold more copies had this been titled the successor to BL. Worth the ride.
Got this game when it was first released. Fun game easy up until the last level, but once you figure out the pattern for the last boss it's not so bad.
Awesome. Hardest out of the Gunhed/Star Soldier games. 3rd Best overhead hucard shooter on the engine.
I\'m a huge fan of all shooters, but for some reason I find this a little too hard and am not motivated to complete it! One of the only shooters I\'ve not perservered with. I find it tougher than the hard as nailed (and superior) Nexzr. The worst out of the 3 Star Soldier games on the system. Graphics are not as good as the likes of Gunhed although it was produced later in the systems life. Gunhed/Blazing Lazers ISN\'T part of this series (Super Star Soldier, Final Soldier & Soldier Blade)!!! It looks like and plays like them, but is made by entirely different people:FACT.
