This is the creme de la creme of Bomberman games for the PCE. Gorgeous graphics, great gameplay, wonderful sounds. What more could you want other than a second chance to blow up your friend who lured you and blew you up last time?

If you have ever played Bomberman you get the concept so there is no reason to go over that again. This is the very best bomberman you can get. You can ride on Kangaroo's for goodness sake.....KANGAROO'S!!!

Is it the best version? Let's just say it's a different version. I happen to like '93 and '94 equally. The 5-player battle boards are different in each game, as is the single player quest (which feels notably shorter in '94 than '93). the graphics are a bit better in this version however- and the some of the additions are cool (igloos, forest canopies, railroad cars)... I personally like the kangaroos but I can see how not everyone will- especially if you get stuck with the roo that does nothing but dance- everytime I wind up with that one I kill him off for another roo. If you're wondering which PCE/TG-16 Bomberman to get- the answer's simple. Get all three.

I remember buying this when it was first available on import to England, back many years, and being blown away by the graphics Hudson achieved a year on from the fastastic Bomberman \'93. The gameplay is also THE BEST out of the three titles available on the Pc Engine, although the game is far too easy for even the average player (much easier than Bomberman \'93). I completed this in only a couple of hours and paid £39.99 as a young teenager so was a bit pissed...But you can pick it up very cheaply on ebay nowadays, so definately work playing. THE BEST LOOKING AND MOST FUN BOMBERMAN ON THE ENGINE...TRUST ME.
