What the heck? Has anyone played this?
I have. I only played for about twenty minutes though, because to be honest with you, the game is rather poor. It's worth checking out just so you can be able to say you played a game called "Toilet Kids" where there are poo shell turtles and such, but other than that it's a sub-par shooter. The biggest problem? It's BORING.
This game isn't that bad- subject matter is hilarious enough to make it playable- graphics are subpar for the first two levels and then get better for the last two (sadly there are only four levels), gameplay is the same style as Xevious only you can have two players. But just something about flying around on a toilet fighting off feces throwing gorillas, spiders weaving silk from their asses, and flies surrounding mounds of shit is just plain good fun. If the game was longer I'd give it 3.5, and if the first two levels were stronger and not similar looking (atop forests, lands and lakes; while the third board is under water and the fourth looks Egyptian) then I'd give it a four.
Hilarious and challenging, this game defines one of the best features of the PC-Engine: while in the US they tryed to make it look as a \"cool super toy for the jaded kids\" in Japan and Europe (specially in Europe) the system was famous for the high number of hilarious (ie:full of Japanese slap-stick humour) games. From PC-Genjin to Parodius, from L-Dis to Star Parodia, passing through cute \"fruity\" games (Pop\'n\'Magic, Mizubaku Daiboken etc.) people came to Nec\'s little wonder in search of wacky and ultimately fun experiences.
Games like these truly make the PC-Engine unique, and with Toilet Kids being the epitome of \"wackynes\" if you are looking for that kind of fun, you can\'t go wrong with this one...
