Bonk! What would the TurboGrafx be without you? This fun, colorful platformer is what started it all for many TurboGrafx owners. You play as a tough little cave-kid, battling your way through prehistoric landscapes populated with all types of carnivores, using your head as your primary weapon in your quest to free your friends from the evil influence of the evil lizard King Drool. There are many different types of enemies in this game, and the many levels they inhabit span all climates and terrain. It's a very fun game you're sure to enjoy!
If there is any game that screams Turbo Grafx 16 it's Bonk's Adventure. Of all console game system mascots, Bonk is without a doubt the coolest ever.The game itself is very fun with great control, graphics color, and sound. Any game library without Bonk's Adventure is seriously lacking a classic title.
When I first got my Turbo Grafx-16, I also received Bonk's Adventure with it. A solid platformer from start to finish, great graphics and catchy music. If you have a Turbo Grafx/Duo, you have to have Bonk's Adventure.
When I seen the first time this game.... i was make a "HUUUH".... i like platformers from begining of my gametime..... but this one change my look and style of playing.... great graphic, abnormal humour, catchy music.... so.... i´m crying by lucky :)
The game that \"started it all\" for the TurboGrafx-16. Bonk is to the TurboGrafx as Sonic is to the Genesis. Bonk\'s Adventure is the first game in the trilogy. The game is unique & completely original. A good mix of cartoonish graphics & weird, zany humor. Gameplay is spot-on. Find hidden doors that whisk you away to bonus rounds. Eat giant pieces of meat and become incredibly strong. Swim around in a dinosaur\'s stomach. If I were to take a point away from Bonks Adventure it would be for the graphics but you could argue they are simply a result of the game\'s cartoonish \"look\". The music is downright spectacular for 1989 and brings you right into Bonk\'s prehistoric world. If you have a TG-16, get this game. Now. You will never play another platformer like it.
A forking classic. I remember back in the day I was sick as hell and home from school and my pops bought this for me- I've never been so happy being sick- ever.
My clear favourite in the trilogy of flagship platformers from Hudson. Matched Mario at the time and was always more enjoyable than Sonic, I feel. Great graphics and catchy tunes that perfectly suit \'the feel\' and comedic tone set out in the game throughout. Easily the best ending of all three games, with a great atmospheric (if a little odd...) tune to accompany it. Happy memories in the bucket load with this classic.
