Rise From your Grave! This game was converted to almost every console known to man (and woman). Not a bad conversion, This version seems a little harder than the coin-op.
The sprites of the game are quite well drawn, however the backgrounds are simple and the handeling of the character is heavy. So well if you know altered beast it has its spirit.
Not to bad a translation from the arcade version. Sprite wise, it makes the Genesis version look weak but, unfortunately the backgrounds are relatively cheap as if the programmers were pressed for time and had to come up with something quick. The sound is good too and the music is decent. However, the player character is slow moving and has horrible reaction time. Furthermore after the player character is knocked down, he seems stunned and unable to imeadately attack upon getting up which in most cases causes him to be juggled to death by the monsters. On a scale of 1 to 10, the difficulty is about an 8.5. I would have gone higher but, I found out that if you can stick with this game without pulling your out, you\'ll find that some of the bosses paterns aren\'t quite as tough as they apear with the exception of the \"Eye-pod\" Since it delivers spr
Wow, is this version HARD!! I have always loved Altered Beast ever since I first played it a the local arcade. The PC Engine version sports some excellent graphics and great gameplay, but is missing 2 things - An easy mode, and a 2 player option!
Terrible, graphic is the only one thing for I vote *
